You do NOT have to cross 12th Avenue to get a cab. There are many cabs right in front of the Cruise Terminal in the "Passenger Pick Up Area". If you need assistance finding it, ask a porter or Cruise Terminal Represenative, they will give you directions.

With everyone arriving and those trying to leave, the area directly in front of the cruise terminal is jammed. That is the main reason why we always cross the street to get to cabs and limos. I advise anyone looking to get a cab to cross 12th Avenue to avoid the jam.

It wasn't overly crowded. And arrivals are on one level, departures on the other. The porters will take luggage to the "pick up curb" for those who need assistance. Also you wont have to cross busy 12th Ave with your luggage. :)
