Where is the Ocean Princess?

We had a lovely cruise on the Ocean Princess in 2001 - it was a new, beautiful ship.

I just received the new 2006 Princess calendar and I don't see it listed there.

Did Princess sell it? Does anyone know where it went?

Thanks!

Wow! I didn't expect an answer in less than 3 minutes!

I do love the Brits. Hope to meet some onboard the Caribbean Princess in June.

Thanks for your post!

Sold to the Brits is not quite accurate. She was transferred to P&O, once Princess' parent, and now sister line in the Carnival family. That almost sound incestuous.

Currently sailing as Adonia.

Great Uncle.

Thanks for the correction. It is still awfully early out here on the Left Coast.

What with the "musical chairs" of transferring ships, it is easy to come up with the wrong name.

In October 2002 Princess Cruises moved Ocean Princess to its sister company P&O Cruises, to serve the growing cruise market in the United Kingdom. The ship, now called Oceana, can be viewed at the P&O Cruises web site

I really must consult my legal advisors before posting in this room. I don't suppose money changed hands..........no!!

Pedantic sophistry is a term I rarely use but in this case.......

While docked in St Kitts on the Sun Princess in April, we were on a shore excursion high on a hill and I noticed a ship sailing toward the Sun. I could tell by the shape and window configuration that it had to be the same ship. I knew it wasn't the Dawn or the Sea so when we got back to the dock, I took a picture of the Oceana docked right beside the Sun. It was fun to compare the two and the Oceana is still in great shape.
