Aft or midships cabin on Splendour of the Seas?

Am about to book a cruise for September 2013. As a first time cruiser i have done a lot of research but do not know whether to go for an aft/fantail balcony cabin or a midships one. Is the balcony much different and is it a nuisance being at the aft of the ship? Am looking at deck 7. V little price difference. Any help much appreciated.

I would go for the aft cabin unless you have mobility issues. The balcony is much larger, and hopefully will have a couple of loungers in addition to chairs and tables. The view is gorgeous. You may get a bit of soot from the smokestack, so mind that you wipe down the chairs, and enjoy!
