BAGS Program

I was hoping the board folks would help me decipher the BAGS program. We are on the Epic out of Miami. We are returning to Toronto, Canada from Miami on a direct WestJet flight. This flight is a co-share with American Airlines. It leaves at 3pm in the afternoon. In the BAGS documentation, it states the following:

"International fights must be flying on one of the participating airlines and the connecting flights can be non-participating airline as long as it is operated, co-shared by the origination airline or belongs to the same alliance as originating airline. Entire flight must be on the same reservation or record."

Does this mean we are eligible to use the BAGS program?

Thank you!

Tracey
