southt00 Posted November 3, 2012 #1 Share Posted November 3, 2012 I was hoping the board folks would help me decipher the BAGS program. We are on the Epic out of Miami. We are returning to Toronto, Canada from Miami on a direct WestJet flight. This flight is a co-share with American Airlines. It leaves at 3pm in the afternoon. In the BAGS documentation, it states the following: "International fights must be flying on one of the participating airlines and the connecting flights can be non-participating airline as long as it is operated, co-shared by the origination airline or belongs to the same alliance as originating airline. Entire flight must be on the same reservation or record." Does this mean we are eligible to use the BAGS program? Thank you! southt00 Posted November 3, 2012 Author #2 Share Posted November 3, 2012 I have re-read the attachment. I suspect it means, your 1st leg of your flight must terminate in the USA. As we have a direct flight, this might not work. Thanks..T.
davesgirl51 Posted November 4, 2012 #3 Share Posted November 4, 2012 Direct is different from non-stop. Regardless, you need to "apply" for it while on board.
