newbie3815 Posted November 3, 2012 #1 Share Posted November 3, 2012 We are planning to spend our time at the Mahogany Bay pier complex, rather than a planned excursion. Thinking we will walk to the beach, rather than take the flying chairs as reviews seem to be not that great for them. We are not really into the scuba thing, but do enjoy the beach and water. Would love to hear tips that have also spent the day this way Thanks
eandj Posted November 3, 2012 #2 Share Posted November 3, 2012 Here's a recent youtube video of cruisers spending the day at M Bay. It'll give you some idea of what it entails.
Gforgee Posted November 7, 2012 #3 Share Posted November 7, 2012 That's an excellent video of the beach at Mahogany Bay. We were there in December 2010. Do exactly as the video shows! Walk to the beach (very easy walk), enjoy several venues for food and drinks, grab a chair/lounge and enjoy the day. We were told this was one of the crew's best shore leave spots and there was a bar further down from where the video was shot that catered to the crew. There are more chairs in that direction if the ones closer to the ship are all taken.

Could you tell me if when you visited they accepted the ship's card for payment or American money for purchases? Were there any shops to purchase souvenirs at?
