theres a few strikes going on in athens that seem to occur at short notice has this affected anyone on an rcl cruise that has had a stop in athens during a strike?

Were concerned on what would happen if there is a strike in athens on the day the cruise stops there. Not sure exactly how rcl handles this

If you read down the board, there are several threads about strikes. In summary, generally strikes are limited to very small locations generally not where tourists are heavily concentrated. Only very rarely, when a wide area strike occurs does the tourist business become impacted, and most cruise lines will cancel Athens if this occurs. The Greeks know tourism is a big part of their economy, and rarely do anything to threaten tourism.

Impacts of strikes also rarely spreads outside of Athens.
