We will be in Port Canaveral on Nov. 26th as a port of call. We would like to tour the Kennedy Space Center without having to get in on a big tour. Does anyone know the price of getting a taxi to take us there ?

IIRC taxi fare to KSC is about $25-$30 each way. You would probably be better off renting a car for the day. By the way the actual tour of the KSC leaves from the visitors center on large buses provided by NASA that take you throughout the facility. You can get on and off at some of the different locations that allow it. After you visit an area like the Apollo Exhibit you get back on the next bus and go to a different part of the space center. When you have seen the entire tour you are returned to the visitors center.

We were there in August 2012. For our family of 4 renting a car from Budget for

$35 worked nicely. They have a shuttle to pick you up at the pier.

We booked our tickets online and saved $5 with the "mission" coupon code discount they tell you about on their website. So our admission was only $40 pp.

 

We were on Carnival, They were charging $100 for this excursion! The only difference was the bus. So our family saved $200! That is taking into consideration the gas and rental price too.

 

Easy experience, close to port, driving in the US made renting a car a good choice.
