Bali-Melbourne Xmas Cruise: Need Info Re Pre-Cruise

When we booked this a few months ago we were told by our local TA and/or Regents main agent in Sydney that Regent was including a 2-day pre-cruise stay in Singapore before flying to join Voyager in Bali. We didn't really want to do this and preferred to fly to Bali direct but were told that for Aussie passengers that Singapore wasn't negotiable. Hmmmmm, OK then, I guess we'll have to go along with it. I now discover that other people using a different TA have been able to skip Singapore and go to Bali direct the day before setting sail as we originally wished to do.

 

I'm going to speak to my TA today but meanwhile I'm wondering what other people's experience has been because I have concerns that there's something going on here.
