i just found a price for 2013 that includes prepaid gratuties, OBC of 75.00 and one pre night hotel . ??

the price is the same that i've checked w/ RCCL but to include all this seems like such a deal??

and on the air do you all go up a day early and back a day later?

Sounds like a decent deal to me! Yes...fly in the day prior, but there's no need to wait to come home....just get a flight sometime around 11-12...mid-day. You'll be off the ship no later than 10am...usually earlier than that! I can't stand the thought of hanging around an extra day with all my dirty laundry!

I would research the travel agency that is offering that much in perks. If it is one of the biggies you should not have a problem. If its not you could have a lot of extra charges for every change you need to make. I read your other post and have a little advice for you. We also live in SoCal and have to fly to find a great cruise.

Buy travel insurance from an independent company not the cruise line. You are travelling to the Caribbean during hurricane season. Fly in the day before - one night won't be that expensive - some hotels offer breakfast and shuttles. Lots of info on the departure boards.

Make your flight home is noonish or later - you can get off the ship and head to the airport. Or if you have a late flight - there are tours to the Everglades or you can hang around the airport. Look at all the local airports - Jet Blue goes from Long Beach to FLL. Check the prices for the day before - if you are flying on Friday maybe its cheaper to get a hotel and fly on Thursday with a family of 4. We stay one night post cruise only because the airfare the next day was $200 pp cheaper - so $100 hotel with taxis was less money.

But as in my other post to you - look at the Freedom from Orlando. The prices should be better. DH likes the Freedom class better - less hectic and scheduled than the Oasis.

Skland thank you! I will look into even though I had my heart set on the oasis or allure. We are looking at June but its pricey!

The ta is a big online cruise company so it seems reputable I think it was only for the first two passengers though. I am going to call to find out for sure.

The Freedom is great if you haven't done her yet.

Be aware that if you use a TA you will have no control of your reservation meaning that you will not be able to call RCCL for anything. You will have to go throught your TA for anything which can be annoying. Are you sure the hotel is free and not just discounted?
