Can anyone tell me if we go to the ruins in costa maya instead of cozumel would we be dissapointed. There just seems to be more to do in cozumel

Our family just returned from a cruise on the Explorer of the Sea. We stopped in Costa Maya and Cozumel. In Costa Maya we took the tour to the ruins with Ivan and David and REALLY enjoyed it! It was a highlight of our trip. In Cozumel my husband went scuba diving and our 20ish daughters went swimming with dolphins in Cozumel. Plus we reserved time to go shopping - which Cozumel was the best port on our cruise for shopping. I have never been to the ruins in cozumel - But I can not imagine that they could be any better than what we saw in Costa Maya. It was awesome!

I've seen the ruins at both places. Coz's ruins are underwhelming compared with Costa Maya's. Go at Costa Maya (I recommend Ivan and David!) and shop/snorkel/beach at Coz. You'll love it!
