Begginers scuba better in Grand Cayman or Roatan?!

My Fiance is certified to dive but I am not so I'm hoping to do a begginers dive on our cruise in January but I can't decide between Roatan or Grand Cayman. I am wondering which one has the better colors and most fish. Any information on either of these places is much appreciated. Thank you in advance!!!

Not an expert, but doubt they'll be much difference in the experience since I am assuming you are doing an intro or resort course and not visiting the deeper reefs or walls each location has to offer.

They have a pool for the 'training'

 

a 'sea pool' for easy entry for the dive

 

concentrate less on what you'll see .... and rather learning skills important for safety (aka not death)

 

after certification - and a few dozen dozen under your belt - it is time to look around!

 

and a great bar for libations afterward
