Question re: booking excursions

Recommended Posts

Why is it more expensive to book the port excursions on the ship rather than in advance? (Can't [do] so in advance because we don't possess a credit card - our personal choice.)

Just like many advanced entertainment venues $50 now - $60 at the door. Book your cruise early and save some $$ - otherwise it usually costs more closer to the sail date. Your debit card may allow you to purchase in advance. Now, that said, I'm not sure all cruise lines have a difference in price for pre-cruise vs. purchasing on the ship.

Do you have a debit card? I use this to hold my space on upcoming excursions. It dont get charged until we go.

Its more expensive because you are buyingpiece of mind. If the tour is running late the ship will wait for you-unlike the private vendors.

Excursion is one of the venues that make the cruiselines some profit.
