First time in a suite: What can we expect when we get to the pier?

Hi folks: please just spell it out for me--I've cruised lots before but never with any special privileges. I'm a little overwhelmed with what to expect in a suite--we're usually pretty low maintenance. Do we have to wait in line at the pier or what? Thanks for your help in advance!

Once you go through the security checkpoint, you will be directed to the correct check-in area, and once that's done you'll be escorted to the concierge lounge. You may have to wait in a short line at check-in, depending upon how many others have arrived at the same time.

I can tell you what to expect in NYC. What port are you leaving from so that someone with experience from that port can help you?

 

In NYC, at the far right of the security queue, there is a separate queue for suite guests. It bypasses the main queue and gets you to the head of the line.

 

Once you go through security, you will immediately bypass the regular checkin and be directed to the suite checkin stations.

 

Following checkin, you will be directed to the nearby VIP lounge to await early embarkation. You will find a small assortment of food and beverages in the lounge. You will also pickup your keycard from the concierge once he or she arrives.

 

When the ship is cleared for embarkation, you will be the first ones escorted onto the ship and brought up to Cagney's for lunch.

 

Once you finish lunch, your suite should be ready and you can make your way to it.
