Transportation from Houston to the port in Galveston

What are my options when flying into Houston and getting transportation to the port and also getting back to the port after the cruise? We will be coming down the day of the cruise.

You could always just do the Carnival transport, especially since you are traveling on embarkation day.

Your options are a taxi or the Carnival shuttle. The shuttle would be the least hassle.

 

Are you flying into Intercontinental or Hobby? Hobby is the closest but still about 45 minutes. And you know you have to be checked in by 2:30 or so.

I've asked this on the port if calls section and seemed to get a decent response for Super Shuttle.

We booked with Action Limo - hoping they are good - but there is also 7 of us

We are booked with Supper Shuttle for our Jan. cruise.

I went with Galveston Limo. They pick up at both airports and they were very dependable. That was two days before the cruise. Personally, if I were flying in the day of the cruise I would use Carnival's shuttle because as long as you're on their shuttle you'll be on the ship. Nancy

We were in the same situation last year and used Carnivals shuttle. It was hassle free and realy worked well. I would definatly use it again.

Last April our group of 7 rented a mini van for the entire week and even with parking it was cheaper than a shuttle. It was very convienant and we stopped for supplies the way to the port. Post cruise we drove around Galveston and Houston before our afternoon flight. Booked through Costco travel with Alamo. Sounds funny to rent a car and then let it sit for the week but it was cheaper and we would do it again for sure.

We have been twice and from Hobby used Galveston based "Jeff's Cabs" and have been very pleased with the service and the price.

How did you book these guys and find out what their rates are? Their website is very vague???

Does Jeff's cab pick up at Houston HObby airport area hotels and drop off at the Port Galveston. We would need roundtrip.
