Cruise fr miami but flying to fll

We are flying to FLL the day before our cruise leaving from Miami. Is it better to stay in Fll or Miami, where would you recommend we stay and are there hotels that provide a shuttle to cruise port. This is our first cruise and there will be four of us. I thought it might be less stress to arive day before and we leave a day after the cruise. Appreciate any advice :)

Generally hotels near FLL are cheaper than comparable properties in Miami or Miami Beach. Your choice depends upon your budget, desires, and arrival time.

 

When flying into FLL we prefer to stay in Fort Lauderdale -- www.sunny.org has info on most FLL area hotels and motels. Lots of chain hotels with dining and shopping nearby in the downtown/17th street area.

 

You can shuttle to POM and back to FLL with QLS, SAS, or Go Airport Shuttle for about $15+ per person each way - the trip takes about 40 min.

 

Some choose to rent a car one way from FLL to Miami -- watch out for hotel parking fees :mad:

Check with JRShuttle. We just used them a few weeks ago. They are the least expensive. Shuttle was on time and very nice. Driver was friendly. I highly recommend JR Shuttle.
