Aheraman Posted May 31, 2005 #1 Share Posted May 31, 2005 I have a 6 mega pic camera. What is the best setting I should use for 4 x 6 prints. I know that the larger print you want the higher mega pic you should use?
CruiseAtlanta Posted May 31, 2005 #2 Share Posted May 31, 2005 This will help: http://www.worldstart.com/tips/tips.php/1332 The higher the MP, the better your 4x6 will be.
mhshapiro Posted May 31, 2005 #3 Share Posted May 31, 2005 1200 by 1600 resolution is more than adequate for 4" x 6" prints.
Singinman Posted June 1, 2005 #4 Share Posted June 1, 2005 I would still go with the highest resolution, highest quality image I could get out of the camera. You never know until you see it large when you have the perfect shot that you want 8x10. Also the larger finer file gives you plenty of pixels to play with in post processing (photo editing) and cropping for your do-it-yourself digital zoom. Photo Dad Posted June 1, 2005 #5 Share Posted June 1, 2005 I agree with Jim. Why limit your options on a photo you may never be able to reproduce again. Memory cards are very cheap and there are many portable storage options you can use while on a cruise. Shoot a lot of memories. :) :)
Hemi001 Posted June 5, 2005 #6 Share Posted June 5, 2005 Go for the highest resolution possible, it takes more room on your card but is much more flexible in the long run. 1 gig cards are not that expensive nowdays and you can always download to make more room.
