fireflymd Posted January 2, 2013 #1 Share Posted January 2, 2013 We are staying on the Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge, and our second day will be going on the Ultimate Denali Hike & Flight excursion. We would like to bring lunch with us (one member of our group has Celiac). Unlike the Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge, there are no other restaurants/coffee houses close by. Do any of you know if the Lodge has ever prepared a boxed lunch for excursions? You should be able to call one or both and ask your question.
Loonbeam Posted January 2, 2013 #3 Share Posted January 2, 2013 I believe they would be able to prepare a to-go order, not necessarily a box lunch. The real question will be timing, when are you leaving for the tour, if they are still in breakfast mode that might limit options, or if your room has a fridge order the day before. That said, since you are dealing with a medical need as opposed to a dietary preference, I would contact the lodge in advance anyway to make sure they are aware of your issues.
