How formal is 'formal' on Serenade of Seas.?

Having never cruised RCCL previously, am interested to know what is appropriate dress code for 7 nt Dubai cruise on Serenade of the Seas ?

 

Long or cocktail dresses for ladies and tuxes, suits or trousers and shirts for men ? What about casual evenings? How casual ? Thanks.

I haven't done this particular cruise but we were on Serenade in the Med. last year.

Men can wear a tux/suit or sport jacket or even not. A Dress shirt and tie even was seen in the dining room. With travel weight restrictions/$ for each suit case- you don't see as many in very formal attire. Some do dress up though and some not so much. So, it is up to you!:)

Casual evenings are not as dressy either. Men in a nice collared shirt and slacks.

You cannot be "too formal" on formal night. A tux or dark suit/gown or cocktail dress is what "formal" means. Do you have to go that far? No. Many will, but some won't!

 

Casual is almost anything but shorts.....capris for women are fine....for men, slacks and collared shirt is what the majority of men will be wearing.
