There are a number of rental places - the farther from the entrance, the more likely they seem to be interested in bargaining. Many of the snorkel/dive shops offer free (tip expected) guided snorkel tours.

Free (well, with the price of your admission) life jackets are available. They may even be "mandatory" but I didn't bother with one. If they had enforced, I do have a snorkel vest. But the weather and water good and the life guards vigilant.

I stopped and talked with the people at this shop - they were nice and friendly. The shops are probably all about the same.

 

#3 El Clavado, Nice guys, Snorkel Rentals were $15 or less and include a locker. Also a free snorkel tour if you want.

Meeting point for the free shows - not sure but maybe you are supposed to make a reservation for them. I didn't. Its near the bar by the pool.

They brought out 3 different aged sea lions during the show and let them do their stuff. The trainer also pointed out the differences between a seal and a sea lion.
