I'm not much good at explaining about electricity, but at first my straighteners did not heat up. I asked the cabin girl and she said to use the other socket which was next to the one I had used beside the dressing table mirror and it worked. I gather one socket must be 230v and the other 110v. Take a 3 or 4 gang extension with you if you have camera, kindle or phones to charge up. I got one with a short cable for a £1 in a famous shop. I took an adaptor with me but cannot remember if I needed to use it.

You should be fine ,Mrs Kalos had no probs with hair brush /tongs and she took the 230v :) Should your hubby take an electric shaver ,

the socket in the bathroom is 110v...That reminds me I best go switch it back to 230v now :D
