smickey81 Posted January 5, 2013 #1 Share Posted January 5, 2013 Some might find decorating your cabin door to be tacky, but for someone who can't remember things very well, finding a room on a ship might seem like finding a needle in a haystack especially in the wee hours of the morning after a few drinks. If you have ever decorated on Carnival cruise lines (specifically Carnival Victory), what do you use to put things up on the door? tape? putty? magnets? Would love to see some ideas too!! :D
FlaGrl4Evr Posted January 5, 2013 #2 Share Posted January 5, 2013 We used the Ticky-Tacky Putty. It holds very well, does not damage the door and also will not damage your decorations. BTW, our cabin neighbors were putting up their decorations with scotch-tape and the cabin steward told them that they could not use tape. We let them have a square of our putty to adhere their poster but it does seem that some ships or stewards frown upon the tape. BTW, this was on the Legend. :) . MrPete Posted January 5, 2013 #3 Share Posted January 5, 2013 I don't look at the door. I look at the number. I move forward or backward based on the number I am in front of at the point of entry.
3dashers Posted January 5, 2013 #4 Share Posted January 5, 2013 We use the little hook thigs attached to suction cups. We usually decorate around the door so one at each corner and the sparkly garlands are hung.

dnmccoy Posted January 5, 2013 #9 Share Posted January 5, 2013 We got married and had my 30th birthday on the Glory. First someone put up our "just married banner", then the "happy birthday" banner showed up, then congratulatory notes from strangers showed up. It was hysterical!
