Pier 66

We have the Hyatt at Pier 66 booked for the night before our departure out of Port Everglades.

 

DW would like to avoid packing some toiletries and other items and just pick them up at a local store ahead of the cruise. We decided not to rent a car though, so any store would need to be walking distance from the hotel. It seems that there is a Walgreens a little more than a half mile from the hotel but from looking at the map we would need to cross a large bridge. Does anyone familiar with the area know for sure that this bridge would be open to pedestrians? Any other stores closer than the Walgreens?

The bridge has a sidewalk. Walgreens is the closest store for toiletries. It is just a few blocks. There is a gas station across from the hotel and there is a sub shop inside (Blimpie). They might have a convenience store for what you want, but I'm not sure.

If the weather is nice, the walk across the bridge is beautiful, so don't forget to take your camera.
