$5 arcade credit - CCL Platinum

I thought this $5 credit was for platinum cruisers who were under 18, sort of a replacement for the semi-worthless casino perk which they can't have. However, I just read the Ts&Cs and it appears that the $5 is actually for any guests of the platinum member. The entire clause is:

Complimentary Arcade credit for guests of Platinum Members who are under the age of 18.Benefit limited to $5 worth of Arcade credit per Platinum Member per Cruise. Platinum Members traveling with two or more children may redeem up to two (2) $5 Arcade credits per Platinum Member, provided that each child is limited to only one (1) $5 credit per Cruise. Additional rules regarding use of Arcade facilities may apply. No substitution for Members 18 years of age and older.

The bold is mine. If I read this right, I/we should have gotten $5 (x2) on our last 3 cruises even though the lazy little bums are only gold. ;) Am I reading that right? Did everybody else know about this already? :o I'm guessing that we had to actually go redeem it somewhere, probably the arcade?

Do they actually track this per child? I'm curious about the "each child is limited to only one (1) $5 credit per Cruise."

I assume that's intended to prevent double-dipping when both parents are platinum.

This:

Benefit limited to $5 worth of Arcade credit per Platinum Member per Cruise.

also seems contrary to this:

Platinum Members traveling with two or more children may redeem up to two

... unless they are trying to prevent triple dipping when the kids are also Platinum?

DD's name was on a checked off the list. It was a bit of a problem because she was an older 17. (Nothing too bad just questioning and finally looking at the list.)

Can't help with the rules. Those are different than when DD was still under 18.

As with everything else I bet this will be implemented differently on each ship/cruise.

You have to ask the kids club counselors for the tokens. We have gotten them on our past cruises for DD. She's been platinum for a few years now.

Strange, you would think they would volunteer the tokens when they see a platinum card. Good customer service and all that... not to mention a higher probability of tips.

As with everything else I bet this will be implemented differently on each ship/cruise.

Well, that could be an opportunity. As long as they know about the perks to begin with  the worst they can do is stick to the rules. If they are uncertain, it be possible to double dip.

Thanks for the responses.
