I don't believe that you can expect to find any "first run" movies on NCL cruise ships.

I was on the December 15 sailing and here are the movies I remember being shown in the Atrium:

 

The Avengers

The Hunger Games

The Vow

Salt

 

I don't remember what was playing on the TV but I don't think they were any newer than what was on in the atrium. There was a channel showing Favorite TV shows (mostly sitcomes it seemed) and one channel showing favorite Movies (I just can't really remember what they were showing).

I miss when the cruise lines used to list all the movies playing on the TV on a sheet for the week. I like to know what is on at what time. I always seem to catch the beginning or ending to the same movie.

I wish NCL did. I like to look ahead to the week and see what late night movie I will be staying up for.
