Thanks for the website and link. That's a great resource but beaches can change due to storms and construction.

Someone must have an answer or at least an opinion as to which beach or beaches on the South or West of the island have the most Palm Trees.

The ships dock at Bridgetown, which is just north of Carlisle Bay.

If you're looking at: http://www.beachesofbarbados.com/ then B'Town is just south of Brandons. Brownes Beach is at the south end of Carlisle Bay.

Typically, east coast beaches are not good for swimming - the water is too rough.

If you're looking for a nice beach where you can go swimming, and something not too far from port, I'd recommend anything between Miami Beach and Mullins. If you want something you can walk to, then try Carlisle Bay. The Boatyard and Lobster Alive are at the north end, close to port. A little further south is Harbour Lights, and at the very south end of Carlisle Bay is the Hilton.

As for which beach has the most palm trees, I'm not really sure. I guess that's like asking which lake in Minnesota has the most trees along it... My advice would be to pick a few beaches you might be interested in and do a Google Image search to see what interests you...

Whatever beach you decide to go to, you won't be disappointed. They are ALL beautiful and unique in their own way. The best thing about Barbados is the people, but the beaches come a close second... :)

Cheers, P:)

Thanks for the reply. We have never been to the southern part of the island so after seeing pictures of Carlisle Bay and the Hilton we think that we will look in to a daypass there. :)

You will not be disappointed with Carlisle Bay, it's beautiful...

Yes, the Hilton does offer day passes, but I can't remember the price. I know there are a couple of threads here about it.

Check out this site: http://barbadosdaypass.com/ or see if there's anything on the Hilton's website: http://hiltonbarbadoshotel.com/
