gatorellis Posted January 14, 2013 #1 Share Posted January 14, 2013 I'm sure this has been asked before. Sorry in advance... If ports are missed due to inability to dock, weather etc. Due we get compensation for this such as port fees back, onboard credit, anything? We're booked on Dream in April and really would like to see Roatan and Costa Maya, and I have noticed they have been skipped alot. Thanks:)
pe4all Posted January 14, 2013 #2 Share Posted January 14, 2013 You will get your port taxes back in the form of refundable obc. Meaning, if you don't use it, you will get it back in the form of a check on the morning of your debark.

maryred Posted January 15, 2013 #4 Share Posted January 15, 2013 When a port is missed with out one being reschedules to replace it you get back the port/government fees as an OBC, and if you pre-purchased a excursion through the cruise line they will refund that as well in an OBC. Sadly though many independent tours will not refund your deposit/payment if they have less than 24 hours notice.

We know it's more expensive, but it worked out last week when we missed Costa Maya. Instant OBC meant more drinks - and we still had money left over and got a check at the end of the cruise.
