bazzaw Posted January 15, 2013 #1 Share Posted January 15, 2013 Got an email yesterday for a 31 day cruise from Sydney on Cunard's QV for $3100 inside cabin. The only problem is that it is for a latish February sailing and a visa for China would be required, so don't know if there would be time for that. Anybody who lives in Sydney and MAY be able to get a visa in time - this would be a very cheap opportunity to try out a beautiful ship. Catch 22 /Chicken or the egg situation though - you wouldn't want to book and pay for the cruise without the visa - and you don't really know IF you can get a Visa in time Barry

SeaDog-46 Posted January 16, 2013 #4 Share Posted January 16, 2013 Barry The China visa is fairly quick by mail through the Brisbane office. www.visaforchina.com.au We are on Diamond Princess leaving 8th March & putting off applying until end of Jan. due to 3 month validity for cruise passengers. Plenty of info on Rollcall - 22nd Feb. Auckland to Beijing. John
pkw Posted January 19, 2013 #5 Share Posted January 19, 2013 Hi Barry We did a 28 day segment of world cruise on QV (and loved it) that included China. It only took us one week turn around to get the visa so if you are interested I am sure you will be fine. Regards pkw

They have a visa office in a building right beside Comm Bank in Adelaide St in the city. Luckily I work nearly across the road, next to City Hall.
