sonicbuffalo Posted January 16, 2013 Author #51 Share Posted January 16, 2013 I'll be back this afternoon to post more. I have to run into town and get my 4 mile walk in before I into a chair potato the rest of the day....Thanks for all the compliments. That's what makes me keep posting. I know people out there want to see what the Breeze was like.
scrappinannie Posted January 16, 2013 #52 Share Posted January 16, 2013 Thank you for your wonderful review and pictures! The ship is beautiful....love the Lido Marketplace and Water Works. We're considering a cruise on the Breeze in October. It will be the first for our young kids, who are 3 & 6, so I love seeing these reviews with pics. Looks like you and your wife had a wonderful time. I noticed the pool in the spa area....can anyone go there or do you have to have a spa appointment/service to use it? Looks inviting, not sure we'll get too much Serenity time with 2 little ones but maybe a trip to the spa I could manage. Looking forward to more of your review.:D If you have copies of The Fun Times (is that what it's even called? Sorry, I can't remember what was in your pic) and menus I would love to see them. Thanks again for sharing your vacation.

sonicbuffalo Posted January 16, 2013 Author #57 Share Posted January 16, 2013 On the way back to the ship....there has been road construction outside of the port both times we've been there...don't seem like they are in any hurry to repair the roads around there... Don't look now but it was getting ready to pour down rain in an afternoon tropical rainstorm...and we made a dash to the gangway only to be held up by a woman who had fallen over the pier into the water beside the Breeze. Security shut down the gangway and we got really drenched. We watched them fetch the woman out of the water with a few rope ladders and saw she was bruised and scraped on her arms, and hands. We heard later on that she had broken her arm. We hope she's ok now, but she really got too close to the edge of the pier. There were very unmistakable signs saying not to get any closer than about 5' from the edge. They handed us towels to dry off after we finally boarded. I'm sorry I can't post any pictures from that event as it was really pouring down rain. Some very colorful Caribbean dresses that Ginny was looking through. The Lady Liberty as seen from our balcony....it was lit up at night and looked very patriotic...She actually left the pier and was backing out when suddenly she made a manueveur to pull back into the pier. We found out later from our balcony neighbors that The Lady Liberty had to come back to disembark a medical emergency into an ambulance. We had left to go to dinner. Even though the Lady Liberty left before we did, we passed her later that night.

sonicbuffalo Posted January 16, 2013 Author #60 Share Posted January 16, 2013 The Seabourn Quest coming in behind us....high dollar passengers on board... If you look under the gangway there is a safety net. It didn't do the woman in St. Thomas any good since she fell a good 20 yards away from the gangway. The Steel Bands like we need back on Carnival for sail away.... It was a beautiful day and Ginny and I decided to sit up on the netting in the front of the Catamaran. It didn't last too long as it was uncomfortable up there...but the view was better.

sonicbuffalo Posted January 16, 2013 Author #63 Share Posted January 16, 2013 One of the lady passengers from The Seabourn who was on the tour with us. Her and her bf or hubby were very nice to us and weren't snobbish at all. I read where the people on that ship pay up to $15,000 to sail on it...with a bottom range of around $4,000. All inclusive except excursions. look at the line waiting to get back on board....wow...wish I was in that line right now. Our cats home...
