K.T.B. Posted June 4, 2005 #3 Share Posted June 4, 2005 Omigod, how stupid can you be...??? Ok, ok... I'm just teasing. Don't take offense. :D Seriously, a lanyard is a cord with a hook that goes around your neck that is designed, in this case, your sail and sign card. :) Here's what one looks like:
Kathy555 Posted June 4, 2005 #4 Share Posted June 4, 2005 Lanyard can be used to put your SS card on and you can wear it around your neck. If you go to the casino they will punch a hole in it and give you a plastic cord to put your card on.

YaYaCruiser Posted June 4, 2005 #6 Share Posted June 4, 2005 That's the best thing about the Critic family! It's okay not to know something, and you don't have to feel dumb about not knowing! We are getting ready for our 5th Carnival Cruise, and we've learned SO MUCH from this board...and made many new friends. YaYa
Wennfred Posted June 4, 2005 #7 Share Posted June 4, 2005 People have been sailing on Cruiseships since the begining of the days Columbus set sail to check out the island girls, anyways they didnt wear Lanyards. I think a Front pocket is all you need for that S$S card:) Besides, to me its something else that adds danger when having something hanging around your neck and can catch on a handrail or jumping onto a Tender and it snags and you end up in the water. Becareful while wearing these.
suziqz007 Posted June 4, 2005 #8 Share Posted June 4, 2005 Yep, in the casino they will punch your card and give you the lanyard for free. Don't buy one.
