negc Posted January 24, 2013 #2 Share Posted January 24, 2013 No Ice shows or Broadway Shows (ala Chicago, Hairspray, etc.) on the Jewel. They do have production shows such as West End to Broadway which feature the Royal Caribbean singers and dancers doing show tunes from a variety of Broadway shows as well as celebrity headliners and various other performers, some of whom are excellent (others may be less impressive). Jewel is our favorite ship and we will be sailing on her again next month and while we enjoy the features that are available on the larger ships we don't really miss them on Jewel. The CD and cruise staff as well as the Jewel's personnel will more than make up for any 'bells and whistles' that might be absent.:)
renee1222 Posted January 24, 2013 #3 Share Posted January 24, 2013 If you thought Once Upon a Time on Freedom was weird, then definitely skip City of Dreams on Jewel! I enjoyed Once Upon a Time, but found City of Dreams very weird and difficult to follow. We left after the first 3 songs because we could not handle it anymore. Our tablemates at dinner that night also saw the show and agreed it was weird and did not enjoy it. I hate to be negative, but that was our opinion. The other entertainment on board was excellent.....headliner pianist, comedian, juggler.
