deneen716 Posted January 24, 2013 #1 Share Posted January 24, 2013 Can you check-in a case of water at the port in Baltimore?
John Reid Posted January 24, 2013 #2 Share Posted January 24, 2013 I can only share my experience. Though we are sailing Enchantment out of Baltimore in 2 1/2 days:), we have already sailed Carnival Pride out of Baltimore last October. Before you park your car, you conveniently pull up to bins where luggage is unloaded. We were asked if we brought beverages and reminded the Carnival-allowed two bottles of wine and two packs of soda had to be in our carry-on luggage. We got the distinct impression that no beverages were going to be checked with luggage. These were port, not cruise-line employees. Others may have had a different experience for the RCCL cruises. philnpen Posted January 24, 2013 #4 Share Posted January 24, 2013 Didn't carry on at Baltimore, but first stop I believe was St. Thomas and bought case of water and two 12 packs of diet cokes from a WalMart.
schlimazel_traveler Posted January 24, 2013 #5 Share Posted January 24, 2013 I checked a case of water at Baltimore at the end of December. It didn't get to the cabin right away with the rest of the checked luggage, but it appeared eventually. It was a case of sport bottles, in the shrink-wrap, with a luggage tag attached. The porters took it and put it in the bin with the rest of the bags without a comment.
sha88 Posted January 24, 2013 #6 Share Posted January 24, 2013 We checked in a case of water last September in Baltimore. I think we had it in bag that we checked through. No problem. Have a great cruise!
