Has Cele3brity discontinued air port pick up service in Barcelona

:)We are taking the Trans Atlantic from Barcelona to Fort Lauderdale which sails on Nov. 25, 2013. We are going in the day before and Celebrity is picking us up at hotel and taking us to the ship but we have to find our own transportation from the airport to the hotel. In the past ,Celebrity offered pick up at the air port but not in Barcelona. Anyone know what is going on? Thanks for the response.

Don't know about that, but double check what you are paying Celebrity for transportation to the ship--almost always cheaper to do it yourself. Taxi fare from most centrally located hotels to the ship is about 30 euros, Celebrity charges by the passenger so be sure you do the math. There is also a convenient bus from the airport into the central part of town that is very inexpensive.

When you book a pre-cruise hotel stay with Celebrity, it includes transportation from the hotel to the ship, but not from the airport to the hotel. It may have included the airport-hotel transfer in the past, but it is not included now.

 

Depending on the hotel you are staying at, there may be an airport shuttle associated with that hotel. Otherwise you are on your own in getting from the airport to the hotel.

You will also find cheaper transporation from the airport to the hotel. Check your roll call, we joined a group and it was really cheap for a group of 8 or so. I didn't book it so don't know the company, but I checked the old roll call post and it was 60 Euros for the whole group.
