Surfwench Posted February 4, 2013 #26 Share Posted February 4, 2013 I am thinking about calling Carnival and asking for, say some complementary wine, fruit basket, or onbard credit. What do you think? I have taken more than 6 cruises on Carnival, can they spread the love?;) Pick a store you frequent and try that line on them... see what you get. Really! Can YOU afford to give stuff away for free?
truecruiser Posted February 4, 2013 #27 Share Posted February 4, 2013 Yes. They will give you a cruise... and a S&S bill.:p
Rare sparks1093 Posted February 4, 2013 #28 Share Posted February 4, 2013 Go to the Guest Services desk and you can get a free deck of cards. I've been on 6 cruises and never once remembered to do this. Yep, we received a deck on the Pride. You can also get used decks from the Casino but there is a nominal charge for those (and you have to pay cash for them).

yogimax Posted February 4, 2013 #30 Share Posted February 4, 2013 Email John Heald.... people are always asking him for free stuff. Personally, I would rather the freebies go to some handicapped person or family taking a sick kid on a once in a lifetime cruise.
Rare sparks1093 Posted February 4, 2013 #31 Share Posted February 4, 2013 Hope it wasn't Lido:eek: We'll miss the pools. Nope, Lido was already gone so they gave us the choice of Riveria or Empress.
bigcraig Posted February 4, 2013 #32 Share Posted February 4, 2013 We grocery shop every week and Wegmans rewards us by raising the price every time we go.
okgirl Posted February 4, 2013 #33 Share Posted February 4, 2013 Not very likely........Carnival doesn't necessarily reward even the most loyal customers with any guarantee...... I just finished a B2B on the Breeze (our 28th and 29th), and realized just yesterday that we didn't get any Chocolate covered strawberries or chocolate truffles on either cruise......(shows you how much I pay attention to that stuff) We did get 4 Tervis tumblers, and the Hotel Director sent us a Fruit Basket at the start of our 2nd week for doing a B2B...(I thought that was nice), but none of the other Platinum perks except for free laundry... BTW....they posted 2 $45 non-refundable credits at the beginning of the 2nd week (we really didn't know what it was for), but we didn't think anything of it because we had both of our Milestone credits and other OBC from Casino winnings.......well, as it turns out the $45 credits were preposted for laundry service.....then if you didn't use it (or in our case when you did), the $45 credit was taken away and replaced with a $15 laundry charge then credit....... There were lots of upset people who saw the $45 credit, went and spent it on something they wouldn't normally buy, then had it disappear thus having to actually pay for their purchase.......very confusing and kind of sneaky.........
