Barcelona Hotel Recommendation in Gothic Quarter

Anyone familiar with Barcelona's Gothic Quarter Hotels? Last trip to Barcelona I stayed at Hotel Jazz and loved it. Thought I'd try a change of pace this time.

Check out the Hotel Colon righ in the heart of the GQ.

I stayed at the Hotel Raco de Pi in the Gothic Quarter 2 years ago and loved it! It was right around the corner from the cathedral and a quiet plaza with cute shops and sidewalk cafes. It was maybe 2 blocks off the Ramblas so it was convenient without having to stay right on the street with all the noise.

I'm trying a b&b in the born area (which is the gq or around there). This was after a ton of research and questions on TA. But I have heard the colon as well is very good.

We've stayed at both the Hotel Colon (4 star) and their sister Hotel Regencia Colon (3 star). We liked both. To save a bit of money I'd opt for the Regencia but either is really great and very convenient.

Thanks for your recommendations. I am familiar with the Colon, never stayed there, but it is on my short list. Will also check out Raco de Pi on TripAdvisor. It sounds like something I'd be interested in.
