Galveston port for Magic sailing

Is it just me? Every time I see a video from Galveston, the weather looks so cold, cloudy and rainy. We're sailing the Magic at the end of March and plan to spend a day before and a day after the cruise exploring the island. Does anyone know what the weather is like that time of year (3/24-4/1)? Wondering if I should bring warmer clothes and rain gear

Thanks

Mid 70's when you are going. Keep in mind in Texas that could change in a moments notice. Also keep in mind Galveston is a coastal island so they tend to get more rain then the rest of the state. I wouldn't worry though. If you hate the weather when you get there, wait a few minutes.
