Galveston port for Magic sailing

Is it just me? Every time I see a video from Galveston, the weather looks so cold, cloudy and rainy. We're sailing the Magic at the end of March and plan to spend a day before and a day after the cruise exploring the island. Does anyone know what the weather is like that time of year (3/24-4/1)? Wondering if I should bring warmer clothes and rain gear :eek:

Mid 70's when you are going. Keep in mind in Texas that could change in a moments notice. Also keep in mind Galveston is a coastal island so they tend to get more rain then the rest of the state. I wouldn't worry though. If you hate the weather when you get there, wait a few minutes.

Also, the Galveston cruise cam is from the Galveston shipping channel. It won't remotely compete with the some of these other cruise cams like Port of Miami.

It could be hot as hl or cold as hl.

It will depend on Mother Nature

and her whims.
