Where do tenders drop you on the Island?

When I look at a map of Grand Cayman I see: 1) Royal Watler Cruise Terminal, 2) North Terminal, and 3) South Terminal. Does anyone know where the tenders drop us off? I'm trying to see where we are with respect to Paradise Restaurant and the Eden Rock Dive Center when we get off the ship.

TIA

Some of the ships use the Island's larger tenders and they mostly use the North and South piers -- close together and just a short walk to the Paradise Restaurant and Eden Rock Dive Center -- they are next to each other.

Some ships use their own tenders and they mostly go to the new Royal Watler pier which is futher from town and the Eden Rock Dive Center.

Ask people on your cruise line if they know where your ship usually tenders into.

OK Thanks. Looks like they are all "close" to each other anyway...

If there are no other considerations, each cruise line tends to use the same pier time and again.

When there are relatively few ships in port they tend to use the Royal Watler terminal for all of them.

On occasion there is just enough ocean swell to affect which pier to use. With a north swell they tend to use the North Terminal. With a south swell (quite rare) they tend to use the South terminal or Royal Watler.

On our cruise last year (RC Voyager) we were taken to the North pier and walked to the Royal Watler pier to meet Moby Dick for our excursion. This year, we booked with Moby Dick again and he said we would be tendering to the Royal Watler pier this time. Don't know how he knows, but he was correct last year as to which pier we would be taken to, so I would venture to say the cruise lines do not necessarily use the same pier each time.

HAL does not always use the same pier time and again.

In the last couple of years we have been to all 3 three piers -- different ships.

When I was there last week the Disney Magic, Royal Caribbean's Independence of the Seas, and the Carnival Victory were using the Royal terminal, AIDAaura was using the South, Celebrity was using the North.

You can see which ship will be where by searching for the appropriate date and then clicking on the ship name at http://www.caymanport.com/shipschedules.php

We've used them all on different lines. They are all fairly close together and well within walking distance of Paradise Grill and Eden Rock. You'll have to walk a few blocks, but nothing a normal pedestrian can't handle. We loved Paradise Grill. They treated us like rock stars.

The only issue you might have is if it's really rough, they will sometimes tender in at Spotts and if that happens, you'll need to take a taxi to town. We've done that as well.
