Palancar Reef or Money Bar?

We'll be docked at Punta Langosta until 5 PM and we're doing a ship excursion that ends at 11:30. I'm trying to snorkel there too. Would we have time to take a cab out to Palancar beach and pick up a snorkel boat out to the reef? Or would we be better off saving our time and money and just take a cab to the Money Bar? Any idea what time we should plan on leaving the Money Bar to safely make it back to the ship in time?

To the Money bar takes about 12 minutes in taxi. Returning takes at least 20. Lots more traffic returning into the center of town at the end of the day. This has been the case on the 3 visits we have made always docking at Punta Langosta. Flat fare is the same either way so you don't pay more because of traffic.

Thanks monicajay. Do we have to worry about finding a taxi later in the afternoon or is it just a matter of accounting for a longer drive time because of the traffic?

If there are no taxis waiting the staff at the Money Bar will be happy to call one for you - never had to wait longer than a couple of minutes. Good luck! :)
