Carnival Sunshine - A few questions, please

Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer me.........

 

We are hoping to book b2b cruises on the Sunshine in May 2013, we have not sailed with Carniva for a few years now, so I just would like some info on the following....

 

Casual dining - how does that work? Are you able to have a set dining time at the same table each night if that is what you prefer?

 

The other resturants on board, do you pay a fee to use them, lets just say the Italian one for example?

You can have early, late or anytime dining. Early & late dining are at the same table each night. For anytime, you go when you like, inside a set window. Going on the earlier side minimizes wait times.

There is an extra charge for the Italian restaurant of $12.00 per person--well worth the extra money as the food and service are excellent and a cut above the MDR. The Ialian restautant is free at lunch but it's a pasta bar rather than a formal 4-course meal. The steakhouse is $35.00 extra per person and also well worth the money but more of a splurge. We usually do that once on a cruise and the Italian 2-3 times for dinner. I highly recommend both of them.
