Rambler5678 Posted February 15, 2013 #1 Share Posted February 15, 2013 Is there anything interesting to do around the port for families? Any good places to eat lunch?
JohninDC Posted February 16, 2013 #2 Share Posted February 16, 2013 Coz is an island - most of the "interesting" and fun things involve the water or the beach. You can wander the shops downtown and find someplace local for lunch, or cab to one of the beach clubs. Good luck! :)
sail7seas Posted February 16, 2013 #3 Share Posted February 16, 2013 There are a few restaurants at the top of the piers at all the docks.
Colorado Kat Posted February 16, 2013 #4 Share Posted February 16, 2013 Depends on the family. Young kids? Teenagers?

JohninDC Posted February 16, 2013 #6 Share Posted February 16, 2013 Kids are 9 and 2. Go to Paradise Beach! $15+tip cab ride each way (for up to 4 in the cab), nice beach, huge pool, good food and drinks, good service and clean facilities. Admission is only $2 each. :D What kid would not love a day at the beach? What mom & dad would not love a margarita (or two :o) while their kid made sand castles? Good luck! :)
mondello Posted February 16, 2013 #7 Share Posted February 16, 2013 Yes, a day spent at Paradise Beach could well be the highlight of your cruise. Great advice from John. We were there in Dec.
Colorado Kat Posted February 17, 2013 #8 Share Posted February 17, 2013 I'm a big fan of Paradise Beach as well. Nice sandy beach, great pool.
Laughing Angel Posted February 17, 2013 #9 Share Posted February 17, 2013 Another vote for Paradise Beach. Lovely area, good food, and a fun atmosphere. If you insist on sticking close to port, you might want to try Pancho's Backyard--we had a great meal there (and Los Cinco Soles is right there for souvenir shopping). There are several nice restaurants to choose from on Cozumel. Good luck!
