Captain of the Triumph

Does anyone know who the captain is/was? Just wondering if it was a captain we'd gotten to know on past cruises....

Someone here on CC said it was Captain Angelo Los, but I find it strange that the captain has never or rarely been mentioned.

 

What bothers somewhat is that the entire Carnival Corporation seems to hire its captains and engineers from predominently one country.

 

The question is whether they are getting the very best or only the mediocre by limiting their hiring process to one country. Certainly the captain of the Costa Concordia was not psychologically fit to be in command given his reckless disregard for safety.

I've always found the Carnival captains to be completely competent...you don't seriously think an engine room fire had anything to do with the captain's competancy? If I remember correctly Carnival hires Italian captains, Celebrity hires greeks and NCL hires Norwegian

Don't know who the captain was ,but my opinion is with all the praises the crew has received helping the passengers with everything that they had to indure this past week, he must have

been a good one!

Angelo Los was the captain of the Destiny when I cruised for the first time with Carnival in 2007.
