rjackieb Posted February 18, 2013 #1 Share Posted February 18, 2013 We're in the process of booking a cruise for next winter on the Triumph, and are thinking about cabin 9280. If anyone's stayed in that cabin, or ones near it, did you have any pros or cons? Cons other than the recent event, that is. ;)
Rudyard Posted February 18, 2013 #2 Share Posted February 18, 2013 We've stayed in 9269, five doors down and on the other side from 9280. Location was great. Steps away from the elevators and the pool deck. It was nice to be able to simply walk a few steps to the buffet and get a cup of coffee and bring it back to the cabin in the morning without having to wait for room service. One thing that worried us before the cruise was the possibility of noise since we were so close to the pool area. Even during the day when there were activities going on out there we could take a break on our balcony and not hear it.
rjackieb Posted February 18, 2013 Author #3 Share Posted February 18, 2013 Thanks so much! We haven't done one of the top decks since our first cruises and those were interior.
cowpokes Posted February 18, 2013 #4 Share Posted February 18, 2013 We were on the Triumph and just got off after the "incident". We have never been happier with a room, esp. in light of the fire. The balcony was a godsend as we had no air conditioning. We will NEVER not have a balcony again. We were on the LIdo deck...the only place where food was provided so didn't have to climb stairs. Our friends were in the cabin next door and with the balcony divider opened we had a good space to stay during our "extended" vacation.

Did you sign the walls in your cabin for us? ;) Some real questions -- Was the balcony private from upper decks? Was there a lot of noise in the cabin from the last part of the Panorama deck right above the cabin?
