VolzCruiser Posted February 18, 2013 #1 Share Posted February 18, 2013 I am sorry if I have missed this but does the Cheers program allow you to drink what you prefer. The reason I ask is that I prefer single malt scotches and if they are on the plan I might consider going this route instead of ordering a bottle to room. KPfromCT Posted February 18, 2013 #2 Share Posted February 18, 2013 The drinks need to be under $10. If not, I believe you get a discount on them. 25% maybe?
mondello Posted February 18, 2013 #3 Share Posted February 18, 2013 The 4 single malt scotch brands on the Carnival bar menu are all under $10, so you'll be good to go.
MarriedInStThomas1807 Posted February 18, 2013 #4 Share Posted February 18, 2013 Just out of curiousity, what types of drinks are over $10? And is it less than $10 with the gratuity or without?
CWcruisers Posted February 18, 2013 #5 Share Posted February 18, 2013 Just out of curiousity, what types of drinks are over $10? And is it less than $10 with the gratuity or without? I'm not a big alcohol drinker but there are glasses of wine that are over $10. And it's $10 before gratuity. You can get Long Island/Long Beach Ice Teas, Martini's etc all under $10 and those Ice Teas pack a bunch of alcohol.
vacruizer Posted February 18, 2013 #6 Share Posted February 18, 2013 My DH is also a single malt drinker. He likes Macallan generally and it along with Glenfiddich, Bowmore, and Ardbeg were all under $10. He did splurge and try a special 18 year Scotch (I can't remember which one) in the steakhouse and got the 25% discount on that one since it was over $10. The only ones I see listed on the menus are: tequila, Patron Reposada @$10.95 and cognac, Hardy X.O. @$12.50. Not to mention the souvenir glasses that might run $12.95.
