Mother's Restaurant (http://www.mothersrestaurant.net/) is on Poydras St, they are about 4 or 5 blocks from the JW Marriott. Or go to Drago"s (http://www.dragosrestaurant.com/) in the lobby of the Riverside Hilton. Both have a good Shrimp Poboy

Now if you want the BEST shrimp poboy in NOLA.....It takes a little more work.

Domilise's (https://plus.google.com/111575809209666843895/about?gl=us&hl=en) is the place. It's nothing fancy but you will get a loaded shrimp poboy on Leidenheimer french bread dressed however you want it. It is kind of on the way to downtown from the airport, you can probably get the cab driver to take you on the way to the hotel....If you buy him a poboy too.

Or Mahoney's (http://www.mahonyspoboys.com/) will serve you a plethora of their signature pobooys, all really great. It's is located on Magazine St. and is kind of on the way to the hotel also.....

You cannot realy go wrong with Acme Oyster House (http://www.acmeoyster.com/) or Ralph & Kacoo's (http://www.ralphandkacoos.com/locations/neworleans) or Mulate's (http://www.mulates.com/). Mulate's has live cajun Music and dancing most nights.

My pick is Domilise's!!:D

HumanSpeedbump,

You have been really helpful to me and others with your New Orleans tips.

One more ? for you. You have recommended Mothers. Whenever I read reviews of the restaurant, people either like it .... or don't. Do you recommend it for a specific meal ... b'fast, lunch, dinner .... ?

Thanks again!:)
