US dollars are widely accepted. Look for restaurants on the French side that have a 1:1 exchange as well.

 

To expand on this just a bit, if a restaurant has an item priced at €10 and offers a 1:1 exchange, it would cost you $10. That's a good deal.

 

If you were to exchange Dollars for Euros to spend, those 10 Euros would cost you on the order of $13 at today's rate.
