Marriott Courtyard Miami downton

We are staying at this property prior to our cruise on April 11...we don't land until Midnight on the 10th, so the hotel itself isn't our priority, just wanted to be close to port, and with points, it costs us nothing. The question is how to spend the morning before leaving for the ship.....we would love to get in a long walk (is that possible in this area?), and perhaps a nice breakfast. Thoughts?

It is possible to get in a nice long walk. When you step outside the front of your hotel, go south along Brickell Avenue. Once you get past the financial district, the avenue turns into a nice, but busy, residential street. For breakfast, I like Balans at 901 S. Miami Ave, however you can always ask the concierge at the hotel for a recommendation. There are a number of little cafes within blocks of your hotel.

Another option for a walk is to head east along Biscayne Blvd, and the sidewalk will lead you from the main street around the back of the Intracontinental Hotel, which has a walkway along the bayfront ... it's a beautiful walk once you get behind that hotel.
