A little authentic Coz with the beach?

Hey, this will be our 2nd trip to Coz and last time we did Paradise Beach for me, dh and our 8-year-old boy.

 

We'll probably do it again, Elation is in Coz from 9 am. - 4 p.m. that day. Would anyone recommend something to do near the port that might give us a nice taste of Cozumel? I was thinking about taking maybe 1 1/2 hours at the beginning or ending of the port visit. Last year, we saw the shops right at the port, but i have to believe there's something a bit better?

Can you tell me why you want to stay near the port? There's a whole lot of neat things to do on Coz suitable for your family that are less than a 20 minute taxi ride. I'm not a shopper, I can shop at home, so I only need like 15 minutes for souvenirs, if and when the spirit hits me!
