Cruise Vacation Specialist same as PVP?

I just called up to get a new PVP because my previous one left Carnival. They sent me an email, and their title was "Cruise Vacation Specialist" is this the same thing? It seems like it from talking with them and everything else.

I was always my understanding (unless something has changed ) that a CVS was the person that took the "cold calls" when folks just called to book a cruise....

 

this means while you have the same person handling that one cruise through the process....IF you were to call again to book another cruise, you would be talking to someone else.

 

A CVS is more of an "order taker".

 

A PVP (Personal Vacation Planner) is just that. They are assigned to you and you book each and every cruise with them only.

 

So a PVP is closer to a Travel Agent with more experience....

We are not allowed to mention names on here...but if you still want to use a PVP...you can change at any time...

 

just get a cruise friend to recommend one they like and use.

I like relationships and a pvp is the way to do it.
