Windsor to Southampton

Recommended Posts

You could rent a car - driving time about 90 minutes. Taxi, bus or train to Slough, then Reading by train, then Southampton by train.

I'd have thought the easiest by far is rental car.

Map of area

Looking at the map, the blue line of the M3 is a freeway, which leads to Southampton, to give you an idea of the geography.

I think your choice is either a private car or train or bus, a private should be about 100 GBP.

By train you go from Windsor Central to Slough to Reading then Southampton then taxi to your cruise ship.

Cheapest option would be taxi to Terminal 5 Heathrow, about 20 GBP then National Express bus to Southampton

We used Jill Pretorious of Windsor Day Tours. She was great and gave us a fine several hour tour before dropping us off. Very easy to work with in advance, very pleasant and flexible as driver/guide. Highly recommended.
