Just wondering how much Princess holds on a credit card per person at embarkation? I just want to make sure i give a credit card with a big enough credit limit!:eek:

Unlike other cruise lines that put a certain amount on hold on your card before sailing, Princess puts a hold on your card every night for the actual amount due. As long as there is OBC or a credit on your folio, there's no hold. Your bank should release the hold within 24 hours but some banks don't release the hold for several days. Check with your bank.

 

HAL, on the other hand, puts a hold on your credit card of $60/pp/day as soon as you enter it into their version of the Personalizer. Princess is the opposite.
