Okay, this is so frustrating. Went to post my last two days and it went into outer space again.

 

I will try one more time.

 

We had a lovely day in Lisbon. Instead of taking the shuttle, we walked about 3/4 of mile into town. It was an easy walk and the weather was sunny making it feel warmer than the 70's that it was.

 

This is a very beautiful city with lots of architectural buildings, monuments, terra cotta type roofs. We walked all over and rested at a cafe with some ice cream and just people watched. There were many stores, although clothes shopping is best in France and Italy.

 

We were due to sail at 7p and took off around that time only to return to the pier immediately. Capt. McNeill came on and said a throw line was wrapped around something and he needed to send a team of divers down to see what was going on. The team would not arrive until after 9p.

 

Finally by 10p we were on our way to Oporto. This would make us late getting into this port. We arrived around noon. The seas were a bit nasty, as we were sailing up and down. Thank goodness it was not a rolling side to side motion. It is actually cool to watch the rough seas hit the side of the ship and watch the spray from the waves. Mesmerizing.

 

Our day in Oporto was nice. We took the 25 minute shuttle ride in. This is a very hilly area. There was no walking away from the hills. The stores were mostly the same as in Lisbon. Again, lots of cafes, cobblestone roads.

 

Last night we dined in CR and had the best sirloin steak.

 

Next stop will be La Coruna, Spain.
